Hi All,

Wondering, if NVC really can complete a case within 30-45 days as they say or does it take even long? Anyone here like to share your experience?

Thank you

They just change the time frame to "up to 45 days" before it was 30 days and most had news after 35 days.

So if you are lucky, you will get it done around 30-45, but depending on the load it can be more, and thats if you don´t get a checklist.

So it´s all about doing something els while waiting for news.

My time at NVC to CC just started today and i have no hope of being done before 1st feb.

Have a good holiday and hope the best for you.

My personal experience on one was getting out of NVC in exactly 35 days. That means from case registered with NVC to case complete notice. And in the recent ones, it took me 35 days just to get the case listed with NVC and dealing with the new whacky system was even more painful. The online payments and document submission wasn't really that smooth. Hopefully over time, this would get more smooth but I don't think the system works that smoothly to get out of this in 30 days. Can't someone be lucky? Of course! Wish you are the one :-)

Good luck

I've got my CC on 29th December... After 42 days... just wondering when I will get my interview letter???

Think it´s a week or two after that. Depending on the embassy.

Does the NVC go on issuing checklists till all required documents are received by them or do they ask you to get one odd remaining document (not submitted even after say 2 checklists) to the embassy at the time of interview? Someone please enlighten

Received an email asking to send NVC original copies of the applicant's marriage certificate and petitioner's birth certificate. As it was specified on their website, I sent out the photocopies of all civil documents. Now why are they asking for originals? Sent out similar documents for both parents. Got CC for one but not for the others! Any clue folks?

After getting cc letter, the interview letter will arrive once they find an open slot at the embassy or consulate to schedule your interview. If NVC is issuing checklist, always call them to check because sometimes they send out false checklist. If the checklist is not false, then immediately send in your documents or if you don't, you'll have to wait for 2 weeks then they'll just try to schedule your case for an interview.
