I'm about to send in my AOS package and it is unclear to me if they want a copy of the same 864 form that I sent in with the I-130 application or if I am to fill out a new one? Thanks in advance for the advice!

The fact that there is a new version of the form answers my question, so thanks for pointing that out! I would have missed it!

But if there had not been a new version, I was wondering if they wanted the same exact form I filled out a while back for the I-130 application or if they would want a freshly signed one in my AOS package?

No, it was recommended. But thank you for your answer - I am sending a newly filled out form.

That's the wrong guide. You should have been following: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

Have you read the NVC wiki guide?

Wait... are you adjusting status or chasing a visa?

I am applying for a new visa for my spouse (Canadian) to join me in the US. I clearly sent more information than they required, but our application was approved nonetheless, and you helped answer my question, so thank you.

Okay phew. I was worried there that we were giving wrong information when you were in a different category. People often post in the wrong forums and some of the acronyms are the same so it's easy to get confused.

Do you know already that your spouse will interview in Montreal?

Yes, we figured that out once we saw the case number. There is a consulate in Toronto, where he lives, but I guess they don't do these kinds of interviews. Bummer! We are about to send in our AOS/IV packages, so I just wanted to be extra careful with these forms. Sorry if I caused any confusion!
