I-94 name copied wrong.

We went to get my wife's SSN today. They noticed that her first and middle name was combined on the INS, or whatever website they used; First name and middle name combined to make her first name, no middle name, then her last name. Has anyone had this happen to them? She wrote on her I-94, in the given name, first and middle....I called USCIS and they told me to call customs, or schedule an infopass appointment, which doesnt sound like fun. Customs is closed now, I'll call tomorrow, but wondering in the mean time if this happens a lot.

Your best bet is to contact the CBP Deferred Inspections Office at the closest international airport to you and arrange to go there and have them correct the I-94.

I called them and they told me that it's normal to have the first and middle names combined because of the lack of room on the I-94 itself. She told me not to worry, but if I felt like it I could go in and fix it....I'll probably just let it go.
