Hello! my husband and I's I130 was approved recently, and sent to the NVC. I have already paid for the affidavit of support and IV application fees... We will be using a joint sponsor. I have a few questions, Do me and my joint sponsor both have to fill out an I 864? what documents do we need? how easy of a process is this to do from abroad? any advice would be appreciated! thanks :)

The sponsor (US Citizen) fills out the i-864 and the joint sponsor fills out another i-864. Both the primary sponsor and the joint sponsor will need to provide their tax transcripts, letter of employment, recent pay stubs and proof of citizenship.

Here you will find all the info about the NVC process: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

If you and your spouse live together outside of the U.S. then the sponsor will also need to prove domicile in the USA or provide proof of the intent to re-establish domicile.

Yes the joint sponsor has to fill out a separate I-864

What documents you need is specifically outlined in Saylin's NVC Process wiki --> Gather AOS Package

Preparation is very important.

The lists and guides we have here on VJ are generally superior and more in-depth than the ones from the NVC or USCIS. However you should always reference both because sometimes thing change and the wikis aren't updated.
