How do you know your interview is scheduled - other than letter?

(Yes, I'm sure there are hundreds of threads about this... the problem is a lot of stuff I find here is really outdated and I can't find a way to sort search results by date! Sorry :( )

I'm waiting for my interview date and having recently received a letter for a consultant appointment the day that the appointment was scheduled for (postmarked 2 weeks before) I just wondered if there is any other way to tell. I'm coming from Aberdeenshire so the sooner I know the date the better!

-CEAC status - this currently says READY, will it change when interview is scheduled?

-Phone - again in old threads it seems people rung up but it doesn't seem possible anymore, plus I don't want to bug someone constantly!

-Any other way?

Thanks.

The ceac status of READY means your documents are at the Embassy for you to be interviewed. Once petition is approved after interview your status may change to 'Administrative Processing' which can vary from days to month but once it says 'Issued' your passport is on its way to you with the visa in it.

Just prepare for your interview - have your medical done and gather any document which you P4 letter indicates you need to bring to interview. if you would like the original back remember to also carry copies.

Best of luck.

Try using the Advanced Search instead of the search box at the top of each page. Not only does it give you lots more options for filtering your searches, but it lets you specify a date range for the results, sort them by last update date/time, and restrict them to specific forums. Miles better than the standard search  There's a link to Advanced Search at the top right of each page, just under the Sign Out link.

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".
