Hi Vj's Folks ..hope u all are well.

i know its a dumb question to ask but i was just wandering that if some one is in AP and the embassy has his /her all the required documents (and they don't need any further documents) and they have all the police certificate from the countries the applicant lived in .Then why they take so long to put in AP ,also what kinda background they look into when they have the original police certificates ? and all the docs

have a good day guys

Cheers x

I saw your question. Actually, background checks are conducted when the CO finds it suitable. It might be due to your name that may match to with a blacklisted person in the past. At times, the documentation does not seems reliable and the CO again prefer to put the case on AP. To me, It depends on the case, your interview and your documentation to get an AP. The background check or an AP is also known as Security Advisory Opinion.

Remember me in your prayers. Thanks

Ap can last from a short period of time, a few weeks, to a very long period of time. The longest I have seen to date is someone in AP for 8 years, which is not typical. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to speed up AP. Just email the embassy once every 3 months to keep in contact, although they will contact you if they need something.
