Hi all,

i just got the following email from asknvc. I dont understand this at this point. I have already filled up ds 260 and sent document in april. They received and asked for missing police certificate. I submitted the missing document in May and got an email saying wait for 30 days. I kept on waiting for ages and started calling NVC again and again and finally was put on supervisor review on september 8th. I was expecting case complete email but this morning i received this. Guys any idea? do i need to send these things again? is this normal ?

I see you've been stuck at NVC for about as long as we have. I hope you have some good news soon.

If you got this email from askNVC, it's probably based on a email you sent them about your case. Did you email them maybe three or four months ago? That's about how long they take to reply to emails and when they reply, they reply to the specific question asked months ago, not where your case is now.

I would call NVC and double check but if this email was a reply to a question you sent NVC months ago, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Often, once you get an email response from NVC, your case is like way past where it was when you emailed them. Hope that makes sense? I mean what I wrote, not how NVC does it. :)

Dec 21st 2015 - 221(g) issued at interview for updated forms


Jan 13th 2016 - Mailed our reply to the 221(g) to the US Embassy, received and CEAC updated the next morning


Jan 20th 2016 - Embassy require more in-depth info on asset for i-864


Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning


Feb 16th 2016 - Visa has been issued :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:



In the US


April 5th 2016 - POE Newark. No questions asked.


April 14th 2016 - SSN received


May 10th 2016 - First day at my new job :dancing:


May 27th 2016 - Green Card received


June 7th 2016 - Got my Texas driver's license

well i dont remember asking them anything lately. I once mailed to change my consulate for interview back in march which they already changed without notifying me through e-mail. I will definitely call them soon to talk to supervisor. I have been talking to operators and it seems like they dont know much about the process. One of the operator even said today is my first day so i am sorry i cannot help you and transferred the call to another lol.

NVC is a painful process so far.
