What are people's experiences getting passports back from Montreal

Hello!

I want to thank everyone who has posted on this website. It's been invaluable throughout our journey. One person described to a T what to expect within the Montreal consulate. So helpful!

I have a specific location picked for our wedding for Nov 21. This is the last weekend available until next spring. We were approved Oct 27. Will my fiancé have his passport back in time or should I play it safe?

I had my K1 interview and was approved on October 5th. My status stayed in Ready for 21 days- AP for one day-Issued for 2 days. I just received the email notification tonight that my passport is on its way and expected to take 2 days. So far 24 days- you may be cutting it close!! Good luck:)

I'm Ir1, my interview was October 15. My passport was ready for pick up October 21.

Back in Feb/March of 2013 I had my interview and had the visa in hand in 9 days. That included weekend days. So for week days it was 7 days.

I had my interview October 2, same day update as ready . October 6 recd email package was ready for pick , October 7 pick up package .!!!!

From the time your CEAC status changes to "Issued" it takes 2-4 business days to be sent to your Loomis pick-up location. Mine was waiting in Brampton for me today, 2 days after my CEAC status changed to "Issued" without the AP blurb underneath. My interview was on Monday.

It currently says something like we should relieve it 3-5 business days. We don't have a waybill number. Where would we fund that number?

Once Loomis pick up your passport they will email you the waybill number.

Same to me .... The officer told me it will be collected with in few days and will be delivered by loomis in a week and I received email from loomis after 3 days and it was in my home city within a day after I went ... and received it.

Just send email to Montreal with a subject as "Follow up" ... Fingers open

This isn't necessarily true. My interview was September 28th, had my visa in hand October 2nd. My CEAC status only changed to Issued 3 weeks later.

had my interview september 18, got my passport september 24 2015, so very fast
