The more I worry about not seeing a touch or anything, the more I think my plans wont happen! Basically I was REALLY hoping to get married on the June 7th (we havent made any plans, but we want to start soon!) and sending my K1 of on 1st December I thought that this was a reasonable amount of time. I'll be going through London and was just wondering if anyone can help me know if this is realistic??? Also because I'll be attending college in the fall - I need to apply in June - another reason which we were hoping that I would have visa in hand by June!!! Also Jamal is coming to the UK in 3 weeks to see me (for 2 weeks!yipee!) so do you think its wise for him to bring everything that we need for the next step (adv of support etc???)

I really have no advice. Six months is a bit optimistic, in my opinion - even before IMBRA and all of that, it was still an inside guess.

If I were to judge it from my timeline and experience, I'd have to say that no, I don't think it's realistic - but DON'T give up hope based on that! Our visa fairly flew through and we wound up with the opposite problem - getting it too soon! Strange things happen with visas, and timesecale is pretty much impossible to pin down as it changes so much. Your best bet is that once you get your approval and are sure the case is with London, email them and tell them that you will be starting college (maybe even attach the course schedule) and ask them to schedule your interview soon-ish. It may not do you any good -after all, they're very adamant about reminding applicants not to make solid plans for just this reason - but it might fall on sympathetic ears...this has happened before.

Well, you are going through CSC. You have about 3 months in the system now. I'd say that June would be pushing things, but it's possible. You have to know by now that there are no dates cast in stone with USCIS! But when you are granted an Interview, you will have a better idea. Until you get the Visa, you just do not know. Make "soft" plans for now, the kind that can change!
