hi sis and brod in here,

just a simple quiry about my friends probs how much the require income needed for our fiancee,so he is capable to support her in arriving in USA,he only have a permanent job for the last 2 years, 2005-2006 because year 2004 he is still studying,pls let me know the full details how much the required income so my friend can prepare all the requirements needed in the interview...i will give you the full income details in a year plus the property he own.

annual income : $35,000



money deposit : $ 9,000

personal property: $ 3,000

own real state value at : $145000

with mortgage(s) and

other incumbranch(s)

thereon amounting to : $ 116574

okay here is the full details, can you analize that it is worth enough to support her in coming to US? i am waiting for you reply and thanks for reading my post...god bless you all.

8/21/08:received NOA1 in the mail,yeyeyeh i was relief after the long period of waiting

1/28/09:NOA2 received ...in 161 days from NOA1

2/10/09:received appointment letter from USEM

3/11 - 12 : MEDICAL -- passed

3/30/09: INTERVIEW -- APPROVED

4/02/09:VISA deliver at home at 2:45 pm

5/28/09:SSN arrived after less than 1 week from filling.

6/01/09:Wedding day.[/color]

07/15/09:noa1 date for (AOS,AED,AP)i thanks god for everything...(date arrived,07/20/09)...Day 10

08/12/09:calling USCIS to check the bio apt...Day 35

08/25/09:bio notice date issued...Day 48

08/29/09:bio notice received.(thank u so much mama mary...)...Day 52

09/04/09:AP arrived in the mail (date issued 08/27/09)

09/09/09:biometrics done...

09/17/09:EAD = card arrived today...so happy...

10/03/09:interview notice received

11/05/09:AOS -- interview approved (thank u mama mary)...

11/16/09: GREEN CARD arrived today...

There are finacial guidelines for the poverty level but does your "friend" have any kids? Its the size of the family that matters.

my friend fiancee is never been married,and he lives with his dad and his dad have a stable job also,i am not really familiar with the poverty line,required can you guys can give me some more ideas if the income and the other things own by my friends fiancee can reach the required income, does she not denied for some reasons that the income of her fiancee does not reach to the poverty line?pls my dear sis and brod i would be happy if you guys can give me full details...so i can share it to my friend...if that income of her fiancee did not meet the poverty line...okay i am very much waiting for your additional information...and needs to know also what are the best options if that income did not meets....waiting for your advice...

Hi. I guess you didn't quite understand the first time, but to make it clearer, here it is spelled out:

How many people is the fiance supporting? For example, if he is supporting only himself that makes him a household of 1 person. Now add the fiancee to that: if it's only himself and his fiancee that he will be supporting, that makes it a household of 2 people. Now according to the table posted above, if you live in one of the 48 contiguous states, the poverty line for a household of 2 people is $13,690 (i.e. the fiance needs to be making at least this much to be able to support himself and his fiancee).

Now, the Affidavit of Support requires that the fiance be making 125% of the $13,690, which is $17,113. Is he making at least this much? Yes, he is. In fact, he is making more than enough: $35,000. Hence, this alone should be enough to qualify him to sponsor his fiancee without needing a co-sponsor.
