today both stores were sold out of weather alert radios lol, and they ain't cheap.. supposedly there's a warning tonight of thunderstorms hail and tornadoes.. but heck this town hasnt had a tornado in aeons.. but still, let them come and buy from me muahaha

Hey now, I resemble that!

You might laugh but last year when we had those kind of warnings here in the Blue Ridge Mountains where a tornado is almost unheard of, we suddenly out of the blue, had TWENTY of them spinning across the damn state of Virginia all at the same time! It was a real freak happening.

And one touched down just a MILE from my daughter's school during the day when the kid were in class. Scared the $hit out of me and my kid.

We have the same warnings here tonight - along with flood warnings too.

Yes, your store benefits but hell don't laugh at the people for wanting to know where they stand.

well.. the warnings were not even around this area, it was in SC..

2nd, people here watch too much tv.. but there's a difference between being prepared and collective paranoia..

Talking about collective paranoia, I remember every time they said ¡Huracán! for a hurricane approaching Puerto Rico on the news, OMG that was enough for people to run and raid the supermarkets/lumber yards and everything!

Then nothing happened because the hurricane changed its course and everybody was eating all that canned food for days...

I'd much rather see the population hoarding food and water in the face of a possible climate event than not.
