how did you get your visa packet? because my fiance did not receive it and also ive read online that it isnt necessary to actually get the packet. Online on the CEAC site, we just typed in our case number it says that our case is ready for interview.

They are talking about after the interview....their actual visa packet of course. Why would they be worried about taking their passport out of something else? The big brown envelope that you will get and have to take to the states.

Sometimes you get a letter sometimes not. My fiancee did and I received one as well, but it just said her packet was at the embassy......you don't need it.

It actually came about 6 weeks after we knew the embassy had the petition.

I know this question is brought up weekly but were do we carefully slice the packet to get the passport out safely? I don't want to compromise the packet or contents in side please advise.

You can cut the plastic bag open anywhere to get the passport out. What needs protecting is the DO NOT OPEN envelope, that can not have any tears in it, to protect it, leave it in the plastic bag. Have you completed CFO?
