I can't find crumpets...

You can usually find them in the bread/bakery section of a supermarket (I've seen them at Wegman's and Giant here--and in Atlanta and Memphis, I've seen them at Kroger).

Damn, I've been looking in canned goods all this time, thanks!... ....No Wegman's, Giants or Kroger in this part of Missouri therefore no crumpets..

Well, you must have one of the (aptly named) Schnucks around (where you can find them).

check Frozen Specialty Foods. I found crumpets in the freezer here.

If you were to go into any store in the town in which I live and ask most any employee for crumpets..You would get a ####### is a crumpet look?...

You can get ketchup chips here at Wal-Mart sometimes from Herrs and I'll never miss Tim Horton's.....ever!!!

Uggh those are so gross. I was so excited the first time I saw those, but they have nothing on Lays.

This just made me laugh... Reminds me of that first time he came to montreal, I asked him if he wanted a glass of milk..So I took the milk bag out...

That look on his face "what the F....is that?!?!?!"

That moment was priceless. But i wont miss the milk bags that much, if anybody knows about Oberweis's milk in the Chicago suburbs area, now that is good milk, and cottage cheese and ice cream as well.

I bought a 2kg bucket of poutine sauce powder mix, anytime!

Okay, I'm now adding KFC coleslaw to the list. We just got "Dirty Bird" as I affectionately call it tonite, and the coleslaw on the US side is more of a vinagerette, and they put carrots in the American version.. AND what the heck do they add biscuits to a chicken meal for?? tee hee.. Anyway, that's my wish tonite.. to have CDN coleslaw from KFC.. mmmmmmm

I'm a huge milk drinker..When I moved to Canada, the bagged stuff was all I could find. I didn't know there was a pitcher that that bag fit in nicely and which the milk could be poured..With that said, picture southern me, a pair of scissors in one hand trying to hold that damn bag to snip the corner, and then trying to pour it into my own container without spilling it all over my counter..damn that pissed me off because it seemed more of it was on the counter than in my container...most times out of frustration, I would snip the corner, try to pour myself a glass from the floppy a$$ bag and then rather than transfer to my container, I would just lay the bag snipped side up on a plate in my refrigerator. After cleaning many spills from counters and floors, I eventually did my transferring in the bathtub, so when I spilled, all I had to do was turn on the shower and wash it away...It wasn't until I was telling my story to a coworker that I was informed of the cool little pitchers...

so there you have it, a southern boy lost in Canada...

Ok I almost cried on that one....thats funny!! but a cute funny! Like omg I wish you had found the pitchers earlier, you must have been thinking canadians are a bunch of retards to spill so much milk and still keeping it in those bags But hey, due to the circumstances, you still had a smart idea to pour it into a container I can imagine how hard it was though, when that damn bag sometimes gets out of the pitcher because you pour it too fast, it does quite a mess!

I grew up in Prince Albert Sk and do recall having bagged milk. Not in recent yrs though, but I did work at the CO-OP and at 1 time we did have it. I know they still have it in NS.

The great Milk debate ha ha. Yep southern Ontario we had bagged milk as well. I never had a problem with the milk here, since for years now I've been buying Silk Soy Milk instead. Not even sure if they have that in Canada...

While I'm not the Canadian in the relationship, I do know that butter tarts are from up north, thanks to wikipedia. Oh, Canadian Bacon, which you all call ham.

actually, we call it back bacon, or peameal bacon. Ham is something else entirely.

yeah, the Cheez Whiz here in the US is nasty

Honestly, I just miss having HFCS free foods and drinks. That ####### makes everything here in the US about 10 times sweeter than back home, and everything just tastes yucky. I miss Pepsi, and decent bread and and and...

maybe someone will come to visit me soon and bring me a Pepsi.

cheese whiz down here tastes more like nacho cheese dip... .. I miss my cheese whiz

another thing I miss is real Heinz Ketchup....

I also miss Pizza Pops.... I like Lean Pockets but they aren't the same as Pizza Pops....
