CEAS status says ready, unsure what it means (split topic)

so u went ceas.state.gov and enter your Case number? everytime i do that it says READY! i dont get an error rather i get a small box saying READY. not sure whats going on

please guide if u can. thank you

My message was in reference to those registering for their interview at the US embassy in Montreal. I have no idea what the CEAC status has to do with anything. There are clear instructions on what to do should you have recieved an interview date and time and are unable to register which include sending an email to a specific email address that includes your case number and a copy of the interview letter.

it doesn't look like you are being processed for a CR-1 visa so this doesn't apply to you. It would be very obvious if it did.

I am being processed for CR-1 visa. I did figure out the registration website for the appt and when i went to register for the appt, it said the page doesnt exist. and there was no place to email.

When you open the link, click on the sign in once you do so there will be 2 option one for sign in and the other for create an account, then you follow the steps and continue .

One more question i have. Do i have to pay any fees at the interview? I have paid all the required fees to the nvc but was wondering if i have to pay any visa fees at the emabbasy during the time of the interview?

If all the fees are paid then NO. The only fee that needs to be paid is for the green card after the interview and visa approval . The fee needs to be paid before entering the U.S.
