hi everyone. .I need to ask about the poverty guidelines for fiance visa, is it 100% or 125%? my fiance was earning over 22k last year and the tax transcript for last year shows that but he lost his weekend job and now his income is 19k annually. .and the 125% guideline is 19,912 ...will this bring issues?

what do you advice I do when asked about his

income? should I stick to last year's figure or tell them about his current income and why it's less...

Co-Sponsor if you can, but if he/she made over 19k last year, it should be fine....life happens. I wouldn't offer any information that they don't ask for. And when you go to the interview, be honest about what happened IF they ask. They might not.

But in this case, I would really try to get a co-sponsor that makes enough. A friend or family member of the American Spouse would work fine. My plane spotting buddy is my co-sponsor although my wife makes just over the poverty line, we got so confused about that part and didn't wanna risk anything. Needless to say, getting a co-sponsor never hurts.

I believe it is 125% as well for both K1 and CR/IR-1 visas.

Thank you so much for your reply

we were sort of thinking to just hand in the affidavit forms and transcripts but as I read I realise more evidence like letter of employment is needed which indicates his current income

. ...I hope he can get a Co sponsor in such short notice because my interview is on 23rd, 6 days from today.

What other documents are needed besides these, Adam seems not to keep his pay stubs and has probably just the most recent one. ..

I pray all goes well and thank you so much for taking time to answer me.
