You should start as early as possible in getting your PC.

The following information is from the HK instructions in what is required.

A full set of the applicant fingerprints taken and certified by a recognized and official police or law enforcement agency where the applicant currently resides. Certification of the fingerprints must clearly state: (i) the full name and rank of the person taking the prints, (ii) the full name of the police or law enforcement agency with their official chop; and (iii) the date and place the prints were taken. Prints that do not clearly show certification will be refused. Fingerprints taken by the applicant him/herself, a legal representative or private/commercial agency are also unacceptable.

Thanks...I already read all those information before I posted my question because it wasn't clear enough.

Part of the requirements: It said:

"A photocopy (for each applicant) of the letter from NVC which contains his/her name and the checklist of documents necessary for obtaining a visa (the one that references the need for police certificates);"

WHAT KIND OF LETTER FROM NVC DO THEY NEED?

Processing for HK Clearance takes 6 weeks...

If I wait for the interview letter appointment, that's about 5 weeks before the interview...

SO what letter from NVC, can I give the letter that I got from NVC the first time the case has been processed?

Have you received your packet 3? If so the letter contained in there plus the checklist is what is needed. If not you will have to wait for that packet to arrive because those are the requirements in securing a PC from HK. You can get fingerprints from your local police. This is the best I can do to help. I am not sure what letter you are referring to when you say "letter that I got from NVC the first time the case has been processed". Knowing the form number or the form number of the response would help. Have you tried googling for your answer? There is also a search box in the upper right hand corner, just enter Hong Kong Police Certificate and you will can responses.

NVC does not send letter anymore. They just email you. So it does not really tell the names of which letter they are giving you. SO far, I've got a welcome letter and with that, it came with a checklist.... I already sent all supporting documents to the NVC and I am just waiting for an email confirming that the review is completed and the interview appointment.

I've gone through search button and looked for same case but everything's outdated....

But thanks for the effort.... I appreciate it. I'll keep looking...
