I do understand what an E2 visa is, but it must be renewed every two years, and upon conclusion of the Business, she must leave unless she have converted to a new immigration status.

Oh well, it will take at-least a year before the parents visa process is completed, and no one can say what can happen in that time period.

The E2 visa is renewable every 2 - 5 years. They are investing in a few businesses that are viable. But I do agree with you all about a major change in an elderly person's life especially when they are so fixed in their ways. Even though my parents will be living with my sibling in relative comfort, it is still a major, major lifestyle change.

Follow your heart, especially, if it's their desire to be you all. The good will outweigh the bad. Whatever, it takes to help them live a more comfortable life is what's important. Then if for any reasons they wish to return, then at least you gave it your all. Good luck!
