Hello all,

We are gathering information to put our AOS package together and have noticed that we can't find the alien registration number anywhere. Our problem is that we never received a paper copy of the NOA2 and the number is definately not listed on the visa under the "Annotation" section. For some reason, the WAC receipt number from the I-129F submission is listed there.

I have searched for topics like this but have only come up with ones discussing the lack of a NOA2. I'm trying to figure out what the best way is to retrieve this number to put on all of the paperwork.

Cheers,

Jon

You will need something to prove the I-129F approval. A copy of the I-129F NOA2 approval notice is required with the I-485, but people have been successful with providing other documents, such as a printout of the online USCIS case status approval notice and letter from the NVC stating the approved petition was sent to the consulate. Filing for a duplicate will cost you $405. If you never received one, you may be able to ask that they resend it.

You can call and ask to speak to a tier 2 immigration officer about your case and ask them, or go in person to an infopass appt to get the A#.
