Hi guys,

Can the affidavit of support be filled by any one or does it have to be the petitioner?

I am the beneficiary, my fiancé is a student and has a job but I'm not sure if this will be enough so her father is willing to fill it in with his own information to make sure.

Will this be accepted?

Thank you so much!

Yes it will be accepted in LONDON but probably not at many other consulates.

Hello,it is quite acceptable as long as your fiancé father meets the criteria (125% above poverty line). Google what I just wrote in brackets, you are sure to find the figures! What your fiancé father is doing is being a cosponsor and your fiancé is being your primary sponsor. If your fiancé is not going to be your sponsor, he will be your primary sponsor.Note that if they both are going to be your sponsors, they have to fill out individual affidavit of support forms.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply!

Does it say not the embassy website that it would be acceptable?

Cheers

The embassy website explains very little about the I-134. I have helped in the VJ UK forum for seven years. People report that they were successful with with one sponsor and it didn't have to be the fiance.

Try this link which somehow got left off the navigation n one of the website revisions. It explains the London position.
