k1 status ISSUED, how long now?

So we had our interview on friday and she passed with flying colors. Our visa status on CEAC changed to ISSUED on monday morning. My question is, how long does it take after being ISSUED to actually ship? The status on USTRAVELDOCS is still "with the embassy". And 2go still has no tracking info for her case. How long did you wait after being ISSUED before you were able to actually start tracking it with 2go? My fiancee seems to think they aren't shipping it yet because we didn't register for account on 2go. I know that's not the case though right? You don't HAVE to register on 2go for them to send your package. That would be crazy.

It's difficult for anyone to predict when you will receive your visa. We are in "normal" visa processing times and we are seeing 5 to 10 business days after interview. But, at times we have seen upwards of 30 days to 6 months for some.

Part of the test measures in answering your question are, estimating the time it will take USEM to process, issue and 2Go to deliver. Since no one can exactly simulate all visa conditions, actual visa processing of each person will vary. As a result, when these estimated visa claims from other applicants are published, I almost always state the standard disclaimer "your mileage may vary."

The USEM states in their Embassy Letter; "Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you".

From our experience, when my wife's visa status changed to ISSUED, 2Go picked up the visa packet from the embassy that day. Visa was available for pickup about 4 days later at MOA.

How did you know they picked up that day?

Using the links I provided will allow you to know when Elvis has left the building. All of us use those links to follow the progress of our own visa within the passport and delivery when we processed. Others are doing the same.

thank you for the links, but I think you missed the part where i said i was already using ceac tracker and ustraveldocs. and i have also been using this as well:

http://cdn.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-passportretrieve.asp#trackingoptions

My question is more directed at why is it taking so long to have an updated status. It's been a few a days now and it's still just "at the embassy". I don't understand why it says ISSUED if they are not in the process of shipping it within a day or two.

Where did you find the official information that says they will ship it out in a day or two?

Okay. Here has been my experience for the past three years, including my own visa experience. There is no correct answer. What happens for one person will not be the same for someone else. There is no right answer.

It's a patience game.

We have seen it issued within hours after the interview and we have seen it take 3 months. I know this is not the answer your looking for, but I am a realist and I don't sugar coat my answers and there is no one on VJ that can answer your question with certainty. If they attempt to, they are lying.

But, there are some great tools and one is to compare your timeline with other with same dates. It's right here in VJ. Click on your timeline, (the link is located under your picture in the right hand column) and next to your picture on the page you land on you will see "show similar timelines". Select the link and view the timelines of others.

That's the best anyone will tell you. Good luck. Have a little more patience, God's speed and safe travels.

Nowhere, just trying to use common sense. If something is ISSUED. To me that means it's sent out already or the process of being sent out. this process is crazy. It's a rollercoaster ride for sure. wait wait wait ...YES some progress ... wait wait wait wait wait waaaaaaaaait.... YES a little more progress... over and over and over. we were so excited for the noa2. then so excited for the nvc confirmation. then so excited for the interview... and now right back to waiting... AGAIN. its driving me crazy. Ok im off my soapbox now.

:) I'm smiling as I have a flashback to all those, me included, that have proceeded you with the same results. Wait and more wait.

I know it frustrating. But there is nothing you can do. We have seen Typhoons, hacking, broken machinery, new processes and much much more impact the visa process. I believe that after three years I have seen it all, but low and behold something new happens (trying to get a new passport in the Philippines is a joke).

About a year or so ago, the people affected by the Typhoon in the Philippines were given the opportunity to accelerate there processing, and who wouldn't take advantage of that? And they did. Well those that were processing normally, are now seeing many jump in front of them in the line. Many could not get interview appointments for 2-3 months. Many who were waiting and trying to get an interview date, found the month was grayed out because they were all taken. To get an appointment they had to wait for a cancelation but that could happen at any hour of the day, and you would have missed the open date because you were sleeping, or at your job. So, someone found a software program that would give off an audible sound, waking the person out of a dead sleep to get to their computer and punch that they wanted that date. It didn't matter when it was, because it could be another month before a open date would appear. Couples would trade off, the fiancé in the Phil during her sleep would monitor the process using the software, so the other could go to work in the USA. Then in the morning, they would switch off. She going to work and he sleeping and monitoring the website. Talk about a frustrating way to get things done.

Count your blessings that we are not in that mode now.
