I got and RFE for my K-1 Visa. They need further evidence of meeting in person. The items they list as evidence I have provided all in the original K-1 packet.

1) Written statement

2) Copies of airline ticket stubs and receipts

3) Photographs

4) Anything else that can provide evidence (I sent my visa stamp)

I called USCIS to see why they didn't have enought evidence. But the agent I talked to couldn't provide any definite answer. Like maybe they lost the evidence.

What do you all think I should do? Just resend what I sent in the first packet?

send everything again plus more. #2 I hope you have the airline boarding passes #4 Copy all pages of your passport if that is what is showing entry into their? country where you met in person with the stamps

Other things I included (my bank and CC statements for that time period, showing purchases/withdrawls and the locations highlighted and matching up with the dates i was in the country).

Lots of photos together, especially those that also show a landmark/date or time period.

The only 2 things on your list that may prove you have met in person are the receipts and the passport stamp.

What receipts did you send in? Were the receipts of when you two were physically together in the same place and time? Did they have a location and date/time printed on the receipt?

When you submitted the passport stamp, did you also include a copy of your passport bio page?

If you didn't include proper receipts from when you were there, and you didn't include a copy of your bio page in the passport, then none of the evidence you submitted would have proved you met in person.

Primary evidence to include that proves you met in person:

  • Boarding passes (not copies of airline tickets, not ticket stubs, the actual boarding passes you have when you board the plane. Luggage tags would also work)
  • Passport stamps (you must include a copy of your bio page, because without it the passport stamps cannot be proven to come from your passport)
  • Receipts (the receipts themselves should prove you were in the same place at the same time, such as a restaurant receipt that has the city/country and date)

Secondary evidence that will support your primary evidence (but will not prove you met in person by itself):

  • Pictures of you two together
  • Tickets and/or itineraries of anything you did together (including your airline tickets)
  • Written statements from you and/or other people that confirm you have physically met

To give you an example of proof that I sent in for my wife's petition, I sent in the following:

  1. Copies of the boarding passes with luggage tags of my flight to Manila in Nov 2013.
  2. Copy of the passport stamp along with a copy of my bio page in my passport.
  3. Copies of restaurant and mall receipts that show I was in the Manila area in Nov 2013.
  4. Copy of my flight itinerary for Nov 2013.
  5. 12 photos of us together.

I was approved without any problems.

Thanks for the advice.

My fiancee is from Vietnam... So the visa stamp was a separate sheet of paper, thus I did not send in a copy of my passport. Just a copy of the visa and the stamp. I used cash when I was there... but did not take any receipts at places we went together. I did send the boarding pass. So what should I do if I don't have any receipts? And should I send a copy of my passport anyways?

At worst, you can get a sworn statement (translated and notarized) from a trustworthy source (family member who appears in at least of of the photos you submitted) acknowledging that you met in person during that timeframe.
