Does anyone know if a fee is required the day of the interview if an approved CR1 is granted ? I thought I had read somewhere that there was a fee for the visa.

Hey everybody, it's my first time posting in this thread.

My CC is August 25, 2015. I'm American, but I've been living with my Canadian husband in Edmonton. We are moving to Elliot Lake, Ontario where my husband's grandparents live at the end of this month so that we can be closer to Montreal and Toronto, where we'll likely get his medical done once we get an interview date.

I'm full of stress at this point. I know that once we find out we have an interview I'll feel a lot better, but since there are some Canadians with May and June CCs that don't have an interview yet, I'm desperately hoping that we don't have the same luck. We opted for Electronic Processing if it makes a difference.

No fee on "interview day" if you have paid your other two fees already. It will state if you did on the CEAC website. The only fee to pay is the $165 in American funds at the POE.

My case closed was July 22, 2015. The NVC sent me an email on August 27th with my interview in Montreal for September 28th. If you follow the Case Completed thread, you can roughly see a pattern. My priority date was September 30, 2013

It would not be surprising if you heard from the NVC by the end of September.

You are going to give us Canadian's a funny name

That won't make a difference...its more important you remembered the suit.

I just realized that I brought my suit from home. But completely forgot boots.

How would it look going in full suit but with Nike sneakers?

By the way...good luck this Thursday!!!

fellaamazing I doubt that a suit with sneakers is the strangest outfit they've ever seen :)
