Hi. I have my biometrics appointment for the 31st and was wondering how long the process will take. Is it in and out? an hour? more? Recently started a new job and rather not take a off so soon. I was thinking about going into work a bit earlier then leaving for my appointment then going back to work and staying a bit later rather taking the whole day off.

I have to go to the Bronx office if anyone has had any experience there. i live in queens and work in chelsea, federal plaza would have been way more convenient :/

I did biometrics in the Bronx and it took about 30 minutes. But everyone's experience varies so this is no indication of how long it will take you. Good luck! :)

I assume it will be similar to the AOS biometrics. Mine took only about 20 minutes back then. Since my appointment is in the middle of the day, I have decided to go to work for two hours in the morning and then play it by ear. If the appointment does not take long, I may go back to work afterwards, if not I'll be out for the rest of the day. My local office is about 40 minutes away.

I think it's very subjective based on your service center. I've been to two. One of them took me three hours. The other, took less than five minutes. You probably don't need to take a whole day but maybe a half day unless your service center is well known for being speedy
