We got approved and we never knew until we inquired at uscis and found out our papers are now being forwarded to the department state, my problem is it's been 2 weeks from the date of approval and we still got no mail or email about noa2 how can we secure a copy of this as we all know it's really important for the adjustment of status pls help me ! ?

You need to be proactive and persistently contact the USCIS customer service line about receiving your NOA2.

You are correct in saying that it is important later on in the AOS phase of your visa process. Make sure that the petitioner does not have any issues with US Mail delivery. How did you find out that your visa petition had been approved? Did you by chance get and save the email confirmation from USCIS of your K1 visa petition approval? Some people have had success using a copy of that email confirmation in lieu of the actual NOA2. Check forum threads for recent examples.

You should try to avoid requesting a duplicate copy. To request a duplicate copy costs in excess of $400. :no:http://www.uscis.gov/i-824
