traveling from usa to philippines

Hi my filipina wife is a USA citizen and has been here in usa for 7 yrs. She has a current usa passport since she went to visit her family in the Phillipines a couple of yrs. ago.

At that time she went for 21 days and didn't need a visa.

Now she wants to go there for around 45 days.

So she is wondering if she can order a visa online and if so where.

Basically we just need somewhere to go online to learn about this. Can someone help please?

You must apply for a visa if you want to stay more than 21 days, and you must ask for it to the embassy prior to travel to Philippines.

Hi. She can go and visit and will receive 30 days upon entry. Immigration now issue 30 days visa upon arrival. If she wants to stay longer, she can file for visa extension at the Bureau of Immigration office in her city. She will just fill up a form and pay around $100. The process is very easy.

Was your wife formerly a citizen of the Philippines then obtained US citizenship? If so, her Philippine citizenship can be "regained"...just have to jump through some hoops.

Then, she wouldn't need any visa to visit the Philippines.

This is visa on arrival. No hassle at all in getting in and out rather than having dual citizenship and jumping all that loopholes.

Yep, that's one option. 30 days max, then they pay around $100. FWIW it's worth OP, I wouldn't pay the $100 but that's me. Check into retaining Philippine citizenship and decide what is best for you.
