Can you get a flu jab at your medical?

Just as it says.... I'm getting all the other vaccinations done before, but with the timing of when the flu shots are released over here it's going to make things pretty tight. Can you just get it done at the medical and if so does that slow anything down?

You don't need a flu shot unless your medical is after Oct 1. You can pay for shots at the medical if you like. Or Boots, Tesco, etc

Yeah, I'm going to try to schedule the medical for early October. As long as I can just get one there, that's fine.

Well, not so much. There's just a couple of weeks mid-October where I wouldn't be there. I'm trying to schedule the medical mid-September to early-October and then get the interview basically anytime in November, with a bit of luck. So if they required you to have the flu jab before the medical that would limit my medical options, that's all. I'll be away that chunk in October and I want it done before then.

If you will pick a date in Sept, then you get the "not flu season" waiver. You can hold off on your readiness form if you are afraid the interview will be while you are away. Where is your case now? Did you check with NVC?

We literally just got our LND case number as I type this (after the usual 45 minute NVC wait) so I can book the medical now, I believe, as I have both that and my police certificate. Though the NVC person did say our case is about to be sent to London but hasn't been sent yet, even though we have the new number - do you know if I can still book the medical?

Yes book it now so you get a good choice of dates in Sept. The medical receptionists don't know you haven't gotten your letter.

No that was me, I'm still delaying but am poised to hit dial to Knightsbridge on 1st Sept to book my medical for, hopefully, 9th October so I can travel down to London with my son & take in what maybe my last England match at Wembley

DS-160 is submitted, had confirmation the embassy has received my fiancees extension letter & ready to send in the readiness form after the medical

I also hit problems with the GP over my vaccinations, I gave up in the end & have decided it's just going to be easier to get them at the medical, but I have sent the GPs a complaint for all the misinformation, time wasting & messing about!!
