So untill recently and as explained here on VJ ,once the embassy receive your case ,they email you the paper-list needed (packet 3 ) then after a while they schedule your medicals and interview (packet 4 )

i've noticed recently from few cases in different countries (EGYPT,DOMINICAN,PHILIPPINES ) that embassy no longer send or wait for packet 3,they let you file DS-160 directly and pay the fees then you get your interview scheduled sooner than it used to take before.

ANY ONE WHO HAD HIS PAPERS RECEIVED BY THE EMBASSY RECENTLY ,will be welcomed to tell us if they still going through packet 3,4 steps or no longer .

thank you !
