Delhi embassy Procedures question

Hi,

Soon my wife will hopefully get an interview scheduled in New Delhi. All this time I thought she could do fingerprinting/pics in Chandigarh where she lives. But recently I read on VJ there only 5 VACs in India (delhi, mumbai, etc).

So all visa applicants interviewing in Delhi must do biometrics only at VAC in Nehru Place, Delhi?

Can she do biometrics day before interview to avoid extended stay in a Delhi hotel as we don't have anyone in Delhi to stay with.

Someone with recent experience with Delhi embassy can please answer. Thanks

Anyone interviewed at New Delhi recently?

Hi Kieren, did you figure it out whether we can give the Bio-metrics in a different places as I know that this is what mentioned in the Mumbai consulate instructions.

Visit http://www.ustraveldocs.com, follow the instructions to create an account, log in, and schedule an appointment to have your photograph and fingerprints captured at one of the five Visa Application Centers in India.

I haven't figured it out yet, but I am more and more certain biometrics can be done only at those 5 VACs. We'll figure out for sure once we get to that point in our case.

Will your case be at delhi or mumbai?

Mine is at Mumbai consulate but wanna give the Bio-metric at a different place just trying to see does anyone in the VJ have given the bio-metric at a different place.
