timeline for sending in docs after a denial

I posted this elsewhere but wanted to know if there was anyone with experience of the London embassy.

If you were missing documents at your interview and you send them in, is there a general turnaround time for getting the visa back? perhaps it's a similar time frame for when you hand your passport in at the interview and get it couriered back?

The posts I have seen seem to suggest there is no set time, all over the place.
