Hi so my fiancé will be arriving soon and I'm wondering if he needs to get health insurance. Is it illegal if he doesn't have it? How should I go about researching and finding what company and plan fits best?

Thanks for any advice. I'm young and haven't bought my own ins yet as my mom pays for mine so I have no clue about it.

If I'm not mistaken everyone should have health insurance now days? Immigration counts as a big thing in your life so he won't have to wait until open enrollment in November. Not getting a health insurance is IMO pretty dumb as it will get super extremely expensive is something really bad happens. Time to ask your mom how to go about getting proper health insurance for your fiance! Or see if your fiance can be added to the one you and your mom has.
