Can my Dad visit the United States from South Korea while we are waiting for his green card to get approved (close to interview stage)

Hi All,

My dad is a south Korean citizen. I am an american citizen and we completed the process so far. I am on "AT NVC" stage whatever that means since May 12 2015. I did receive a notification that they are backed up and that it will take 60 days to review my paperwork and then he will have an interview at South Korea where he currently lives.

Now heres the thing. I am getting married in September. I have a feeling that he wont get his green card before then. Question is, can he fly to the United States for my wedding and then fly back? Will this mess up the Green Card process?

Assuming he has an approved ESTA he should be able to visit temporarily without issue.

It is the system that lets passport holders of certain countries the ability to visit the US visa free for up to 90 days. South Korea is one of the member countries: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/visit/visa-waiver-program.html
