Originally I had hoped to fly over in June...basically I'm sitting on half-packed suitcases since weeks. The day I receive my visa I'll take the next halfway affordable flight!

That's about my plan as well. I will have to move out of my apartment first, though, and then I will spend the remaining days with my family. It's hard to keep people updated when they ask "So when are you leaving? When are you moving out of your place so we can help?" and all I can say is I have no idea, I'll let you know a day before it happens, haha

I got the impression sending pack 3 is a letter by definition, not an email.

Great that they finally got back to you while at the same time annoying that it's been such a hassle. I hope that the next steps until you get approved for an interview will go more smoothly!

I would rather get the thing by email anyway. My fiance is going to be in Berlin for August, but probably Italy in September. So we have no idea where he will be when they are ready to send it.

Hi NadineK91 - that is completely normal. For the checklist you need to go to the link in their coverletter. I'm not sure if the copy of the approved I-129F is ever needed, just file it somewhere. And make sure to send the payment deposit slip as well, although its not mentioned in the checklist. You do need to fill out the residence history form which came with your package 3.

What payment deposit slip? I used "sofort ueberweisung" and only received a receipt number but for some reason no screen stating that I paid the amount...weird....

Is it ok if i just print out my online banking statement?

For some reason it really did not show me a screen to print out to state that I paid the fee. But it was deposited from my account straight away

I did it by online banking and got no "payment deposit slip" that way either. It shows as paid on US traveldocs and if I understand correctly it will show up as paid on the confirmation page you get when the embassy lets you book your interview slot.

I received my Packet 3 today also!

I paid my visa fee on ustraveldocs but I didn't get a printable receipt either... but that's what they ask for on the checklist?

What kind of 'confirmation' are we supposed to give them?

And I registered my desired delivery address, but it says we need to print a confirmation of this also??? But I don't see anything to print on ustraveldocs...

It only says:

K Visa applicants must pay the application fee the local currency equivalent. In order to pay the fee, you must create a profile with our Visa Service Provider: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/de. Information on fee payment process is available athttp://www.ustraveldocs.com/de/de-nivvisafeeinfo.asp. You will not be able to schedule your appointment without payment of the online fee.

Am I missing something?

As far as the delivery address/registration confirmation goes, the checklist says:

Note: Fiancé and K visa applicants need to submit their appointment confirmation at the time of the visa interview instead of the registration confirmation. Further information on document delivery is available at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/de/de-iv-documentdelivery.asp.

I understand your confusion! I did not send in any payment confirmation either as it was not on the checklist. Someone in this thread then showed me this website, which I had not considered beforehand as I thought it would be mentioned on the checklist if necessary, http://germany.usembassy.gov/application-fee/where it says " Please note that the Visa Deposit Slip from CGI Stanley must be printed out and submitted together with the document check list in order to get a visa interview appointment."

So in the end, I printed out the traveldocs page where it says that I payed to money and also included a confirmation from my bank account and sent that in as well. However, I cannot tell you if this was needed or not.

Are you able to create a profile and fill in the page where it first wants your passport number etc..and then at the bottom it tells you to put the mailing address??
