Certainly, your right, it must be more for work visas. Doesn hurt to double check, please let us know what they tell you

New number? Does NVC has a new number? I wasn't aware of it. I called to the good old +1 (603) 334.0700

Actually this question is for those who might by applying through employment based immigration. But some how it does apply to us because we do belong to medical/dental field. I will be filling in my occupation, education and employment history as dental graduate and dentist.. so it would be a lie to say that im NOT a graduate of foreign medical school who has NOT given license exams..

I really dont think it will matter to us who have applied through family based visa whether we answer yes or no.. this will not be a cause of denial or anything! But yes should be truthful and give proper explanations.

@anamaral i think i will double check with NVC too.. which number did u call? the new one ?

There was another number which is actually dedicated for non-immigrant visa, but nvc made a section for those who were experiencing issues with paying fees and filling form online. Now thats closed sadly because waiting was very little!

So i just got off with nvc agent, after 30 minutes of waiting my call was finally connected. I asked her about this foreign medical graduate question.. she said "ahhhh im not really sure a dentist would be considered a medical graduate.. i dont think so" .. and i was like ummm, well what should i write then?? and does this question apply to me as i have applied thru family based visa. She said "you have to answer every question truthfully".. I said yes i understand that and thats why I thought i would write 'yes' to this question and give an explanation. She told me to wait, after about 30 seconds she got back on the line and said "unfortunately at this moment we cant really say for sure if you should write 'yes' or 'no' to this question, so we suggest you answer this question to the best of your knowledge"

And i thought to myself, great i waited 30 minutes, burnt my minutes just to hear this :P So i told her that i will probably write 'yes' to it and explain a little bit. She said "yes, you could just write down that ur a dentist in your country and do not have the license yet.." .. i was like yea okay thankss and that was it.

Lol.. i was just laughing after hanging up. So now what do u guys say. Should i call again or just let it be and write 'yes'
