K-1 - Saudi Arabia questions [edited title]

Hi we received the k-1fiance visa packet last june 7,thru riyadh US embassy(saudi).may question is do i need to send them those requirements needed thru mail or should i bring them with me on the day of my interview? And i already fill up the ds-160'form and pay the fee to the bank..whats the next step?and should i wait for the schedule of my interview or i can schedule it by myself?thanks

Gather all the documents in the K-1 packet, also found on the Riyadh Embassy Website

DO NOT MAIL THEM IN. Bring the Originals with you to the interview

MAIL IN: DS-160 Confirmation Page, 2 passport photos, passport copy

this will tell the embassy you're ready to be scheduled for your interview..

just backlog.. plus the embassy had terror threats when I sent them our readyness documents when they closed for 5 days straight

so they had to re-schedule a buncha people and just backlog really

they will email you your appointment date which you need to print to bring to the embassy

and yes, part of the K-1 required documents is to get your medical done.. so make sure you have that ready

you're supposed to have it done BEFORE your interview.. actually, look at the K-1 list, get all those that apply to you ready, then mail in what they say to tell them you're ready..

every case is different, and look around here there's a thread of k-1 interview questions listed. go over that and have answers for it.. definitely do your prep!

our interview went:

(African American CO)

- asked for my tax returns

(Caucasian CO)

- what's your relation to him?

- how did you two meet?

- when was the last time you saw each other?

- he stayed in the Philippines for 6 months? (case specific because I did)

- do you have pictures together? (went thru specific pictures and then asked questions about it)

- specific question about our pictures, where it was, was it part of vacation, etc

- what does he do for a living?

- where is he now?

- are you willing to fly out and live there?

[CO brought up that we first met in 2011, it's now 2015.. it's a long relationship]

- do you still stay in contact with him? how?

.....and that was that. it was a little rushed because it was closing time.. somehow they forgot her. her appt was at 12:30 but she was basically last call

Thank you...i sent my confirmation code,photos and passportvopy to embassy..and today im having my medical....hopefully they will respond to us early not to wait for how many months....thank u so much ur a big help to us.

you're welcome, it was rough for me because nobody here could help and i was the first i suppose recently

but yes just ask away and i don't think your wait will be as long as ours..

3 months seemed longer than usual but i expected it due to the terror threats and ramadan/etc

we're taking it step by step, right now we're just waiting for her to receive her visa

as soon as she has it in hand, we're booking a flight

my personal wish target is she'll be here with me in August
