CEAC visa status web site - when does it work?

I've been able to get visa number from the NVC. It's been a bit over a week now - and so far nothing shows up on "visa status" tracking page (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx)

At what point did the visa status show up on the CEAC page? Is it supposed to show when documents arrive at the embassy, or will it only have information when application has been submitted?

You are a k1 so make sure you are choosing immigrant visa (though I would hope if you were doing non-immigrant and it wasn't working you'd try the other just in case)

If I remember it should show up shortly after you're able to get the case number from there. IT only said at NVC for me....Next it will say sent to embassy, and eventually (after they receive it) the embassy will change it to ready for interview.

Later after the interview it will go through the following stages....

AP

ISSUED

AP

ISSUED..this is the money one. You're done and visa has been sent.

Strange. I called NVC and got visa number from them a while ago, but CEAC still shows "not found" (immigrant visa of course, case number for K1 doesn't fit the format of non-immigrant visa anyhow). That's not good. Hope they did not lose it.

I got my case number from NVC June 9th (it was either assigned the 8th or the 9th.) However, CEAC did not work for me until London received our case on the 19th. Until then I got "no results found."

Interesting. Wonder if that happens to many people...

Good Luck with the medical today!
