I have been here for almost 2 weeks. So glad i battled jetlag. Everything is okay. Thanks God me and my daughter are okay. Everyday is a new experience.

I has updated our address at the POE but we still visited uscis for infopass just to verify, was advised not to worry they will still asked for the address upon paying the $165.

What we did was that, 5 days from the time we landed in US we applied for SSN (we arrived saturday). Just showed the passport and was informed that we should get it in 2 - 3 weeks.

Then after about 1 week we applied for a bank account. We had wells fargo, they asked for 2 ids. Opened a check account + savings. Then opened also a joint account with husband.

So far everything is okay. I am hoping i can find a job asap :)

Goodluck to us new immigrants
