Criminal Record Check

Hi all! This forum has been a big help in my process. I'm just compiling the Packet 3 right now and then we're good as gold.

I paid to get finger printing done for the sake of thoroughness and it shows a clean criminal record. I also paid for a CRC from

my local RCMP branch but didn't receive a hard copy of the results. I was told I would. I am going in today to ask why I haven't

received it (it's been a month now), however if they aren't helpful do I need to pay for another one, or will the finger printing

suffice? I have everything else ready to go, it's just this standing in my way now.

Thanks in advance!

Riley

We waited a long time for an RFE we knew we would be getting... Too long.

February 26, 2015 - receive "notice of lost mail" from US Postal Service. Our RFE was due February 21, 2015 and had been returned to us after being stolen, with tire tread marks and oil stains.
March 6, 2015 - RFE sent out with explanation letter, photocopies and as much proof as we could gather that we had been victims of unfortunate circumstances.
March 11, 2015 - Touch! Acknowledging they'd accepted our RFE.
March 18, 2015 - NOA-2.
March 23, 2015 - NOA-2 hard copy.

Depending on when you got your fingerprinting done it should be fine. I got the fingerprint one done and by the time my interview came they required an updated one but it would have been perfectly acceptable if it was done sooner

good luck

Thank you Canadian_Wife! I think it's a 90 day validity? Meaning I have until August 7th. I've sent away my Packet 3, is being optimistic that I'll be able to book a mid-late July interview unrealistic?

That's exciting; worst case scenario I'm only a CRC away from finishing this thing! If my interview date is farther out than August 7th I'll just file for another CRC or fingerprinting in a couple weeks. :)
