IV application difficulties

My wife tells a friend of hers who married an American filed for the visa after we did and she is already in California! My wife tells me it is because they used an agent who omitted (lied) much information on the forms like previous countries of residence, work and education experience which made is simple for them.

I am having great difficulties with these forms. The truth is I really don't feel like being 100% honest anymore. The more I am honest the more difficult the NVC makes it for us. For instance, my wife was illegal for a time in Malaysia. She did not get legal until working there for a few years.

Okay, back to the IV application. It is asking for all previous work experience for the past 10 years. We don't have that. We're lucky if she remembers all the information from her last employer. She has never wrote anything down or kept records. She has secondary education so that will be easy to list, but the previous addresses and work experience from the last 10 years the application is asking for isn't possible to list.

The IV application is also asking in the spouse information if her spouse is immigrating to the USA with her. I am the spouse already in America. The IV application is confusing and leads one to omit stuff.

It sucks most the time....it is very long and frustrating....but I highly recommend that you tell the truth.

Okay, thank you. Unfortunately, the Dept. of State's online DS-260 is very different from that one.
