Hello all,

My wife & I are married, awaiting Green Card (filed AOS), and received EAD and I-512 Advanced Parole. We are in China now visiting her family. I have 2 questions:

1) She has her EAD card with a note saying "serves as I-512 Advance Parole," birth certificate, original marriage certificate. Is this all she needs to re-enter into USA? Is there another document needed? I can't recall if there was another document I received or not...

2) What does she need to leave China? I am concerned since she doesn't have an active US Visa or passport. Her K-1 is used up already, and I'm concerned that Chinese Customs could give her some issues leaving. I plan on calling United Airlines for advice, also.

Thanks in advance!!

name is different on EAD/AP combo card, compared to passport? if yes:

1. passport, combo card and marriage certificate.

2. passport, combo card. if reviewing human has problem, immediately push for supervisor.

if no:

1. passport, combo card

2. passport, combo card.

Thanks, Darnell. That's what I was assuming, but I just wanted to verify. I also called United Airlines and had them put a note about the I-512 Advance Parole serving as the travel/entry document into the U.S. (instead of an active U.S. travel visa, which she doesn't have). I'll post an update on how she makes out. The flight is tomorrow. Fingers crossed...

i think she'll be ok - just remember the biggest hassle is at the airport in china. if any hassle there, ask for a supervisor.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !
