every embassy is different, so I would at the very least check with Africa CRBA experiences to get a general idea of what may happen in yours. I went last week and to be honest it was very relaxing atmosphere.

Be ready to answer questions about your relationship. To be honest, not many questions were asked relating to the baby, but have everything ready.

How long is the interview?

the whole process took 3 hours, with about 2.5 hours spent waiting or paying for something. May child was born out of wedlock too; however that same week we were scheduled for a K1 interview. I don't know if that helps or not. The CO mainly focused on relationship questions and asked for birth cerftficates, copy of IDs, vaccinations records and, obviously, proof of the 5 years presence test. I gave them my high school and college transcripts. The first person that asked us questions asked us for all the documentation and asked us how we met and what I do for a living.

Ok thanks a lot. Can I present the money transfer receipts to show them that my fiance has been financially helping me and the baby? Thanks

yes, if they ask for evidence of a relationship you can present receipts to them. Don't forget to included medical information, ultrasounds, photos of you with the baby and the mom.

We also prepared a fiance certificate and k have my spinster certificate. Will they be of any help?. Thanks

I don't know what a fiance or spinser certificate are. You need evidence that a) the baby is your fiance's b) you are in a relationship with your fiance c) the baby is yours d) you can take care of the baby e) you meet the physical presence test. I don't know why you are using a nickname to send money to your fiance unless you are hiding something. From now on use your name.

Hi, how did the interview go? I too had an interview with my daughter out of wedlock on June 15th. They asked a few questions, however approved it saying I have all the paper work in hand. We also have the K1 interview in July and I hope it goes smoothly as the CRBA. Good luck.
