South Carolina Officer Is Charged With Murder of Walter Scott

WASHINGTON — A white police officer in North Charleston, S.C., was charged with murder on Tuesday after a video surfaced showing him shooting in the back and killing an apparently unarmed black man while the man ran away.

The officer, Michael T. Slager, 33, said he had feared for his life because the man had taken his stun gun in a scuffle after a traffic stop on Saturday. A video, however, shows the officer firing eight times as the man, Walter L. Scott, 50, fled. The North Charleston mayor announced the state charges at a news conference Tuesday evening

Because of black privilege this officer sits in jail and the NY officer is called a hero for shooting an unarmed man .running away from him . ? Is Sharpton traveling to NY state soon to protest that shooting ?

The NY shooting you are referring to being that of the convicted murderer who had escaped from prison and was on the run from law enforcement? Yeah, clearly, those two incidents are comparable. In your bunker, that is. Outside of that, I think people can see a difference or two between the two police shooting incidents.

You're comparing two convicted felons, that have both killed people, to a guy who ran from a police officer, got shot in the back, and the cop planted evidence to fabricate his story? It's too easy...

You do realize that air and water filters need to be changed every so often. It might be time to do both.
