Hey all,

Forgive the desperation and "waiting-caused-impatience"...

After an annoying 2-week delay because I needed to get a letter from my Doctor, my medical results (which I passed) finally reached the Embassy on Friday 29th May (it will be 1 week ago tomorrow).

Obviously I am now waiting for the golden letter of the Interview date to fall through my letterbox. CEAC shows Ready and last updated on Monday 1st June.

Can anyone who has recently received their packet 4 (interview date) tell me roughly how long it was from their medical? (I know the medical results and courier take a few days to get to the embassy).

Was it 2-3 weeks? Less? More?

I appreciate any understanding. I know these questions get asked regularly.

I'm just trying to set my expectations! :)

I miss my fiance SO much!

Had my medical on the 15th of May, got letter with interview date on 29th. So two weeks exactly.

I'm asking about how long Packet 4 takes! :clock:

True, but it should give you a rough idea of when to expect the Packet 4. The Embassy website states:

"The Interview

You will receive an appointment letter approximately 4 weeks before your scheduled interview date. The letter will confirm the date and time of your visa interview and provide instructions on registering for the courier service and paying the MRV application fee."

Thus look at the individual time scales in that thread, subtract 4 weeks off the time and you should get a rough idea of when the letter Packet 4 letter will arrive. Obviously it isn't 100% accurate with regards to how long it will take as there's quite a variation between filers :)

Thanks folks!

I guess we'll see how long it takes from when the embassy received the info (29th May).

I'm hoping for early/mid next week.

I like having a date to look forward to.

I can handle the waiting then...it's this unknown "sometime in the next <<add timespan here>>" that I get impatient with. :clock:

I do love this forum/website though. I can't tell you how much easier it is knowing all about the process and seeing how long it takes for others.

Lots of great advice!!

Well...it's now over two weeks since Knightsbridge Doctors received the letter from my doctors.... :crying:

I was kinda hoping that the "two weeks" that mostly everyone else had would be due yesterday/today.

I'm really hating waiting for the postman every day just to be disappointed.

I guess I should wait another week before contacting the embassy but I'm really down.

4 weeks since my medical.... It's not going according to plan.

Good news. I'd go with the 7-2 (for the How Long? thread) since we know the circumstances.
