First off I want to give you the timeframe of the events, this is the first time I'm writing about this but it came to this point, I've been patient but unfortunately for me I hit a dead end, looking for advice on what to do next,

Me and my wife got married in Waukegan, IL on the 25th of August, 2013, I have not filed for green card only about until a year after (because I had trouble finding a sponsor).

Found a sponsor and filed my papers and paid the fees in August 5th, 2014, got my work permit on October 31st, 2014, did the interview on November 5th, (the interview went good, did not separate us, she did not take my passport or anything all she said in the end was, we'll be in touch) from that day I've checked the status and the updates almost every day but there was no request for any other evidence nor any update in the case status for neither I-130 nor i-485.

Since then until today I'm waiting for them to update my case status to yes or no, I called in the middle of April to the "customer service" but they told me they cannot access my case and only in the field office in Milwaukee have info about my case.

So I scheduled an info pass on April 30th, 2015, waited about an hour and a half for some one to come down to talk to me and my lawyer, the lady behind the counter and glass window saw us waiting and said she didn't get any response from the agents upstairs and that she doesn't want us to wait anymore so they will mail a written response. As of today June 1st, 31 days from the info pass no response.

Approximately 220 days from the interview with no case update since the interview.

And the worst is that it's almost a year since the day I filed.

My lawyer advises to Force them to give a response by taking them to court or appealing to a congressman.

Don't know what to do please advice me!

Sounds like it is time to talk to the Senator or congressmen from your area to get an answer. I would not take the court route as that is just going to make you pay the lawyer more money.

Just my 2 cents.
