HI,

Just wondering if anyone has received their approval and green card directly from MSC without going through an interview at the local USCIS office.

We haven't heard anything since the biometrics were taken Jan 30, and have not been notified that case has been sent to CSC, which is what they did previously with the recalled K-1 petition.

Have not received any RFEs thus far, so just curious why maybe some apps are delayed at MSC.

Thanks!

I have never heard of anyone being approved directly from MSC. The transfer of your K1 app to CSC has nothing to do with your AOS application, it is the luck of the draw (as it appears).

As far as delays at MSC, I am not sure what you are looking for. Our AOS interview wasn't until months after our biometrcis were taken.

I'm not sure where you are getting the impression your case is in any way "delayed. You only filed a month and a half ago, some people have been waiting months and years for approval, and even though a rare few have gotten approved in under two months it is still very rare and certainly not the norm (and they had already been transferred to CSC). Biometrics are just something that happens in the beginning of the process, their happening is not an indicator that approval/interview should come shortly after. If your case is at MSC then that means that either it will be sent to your local office (if it hasn't already) and when they get around to your application date (I think most local offices are processing apps received in July 2006 according to processing times, although it's probably a little faster than that) they will send you an interview notice, or your case will be transferred to CSC. You've still got the chance for an RFE as well (you have a chance for this until you are approved, even if you are transferred to CSC), and while hopefully you won't get one, just because you haven't doesn't necessarily mean anything is delayed.

Not sure if this helps but you can open the link below and scroll down to page 42 of the document for a better understanding of what happens to your AOS application (how long it stays in MSC (or NBC), when it gets transferred to your Distict Office, etc.) The link was shared by fellow VJer, jsnearline, and to me, becoming familiar with the (ideal) process helped answer some of my questions about the whole thing.
