I most always say, ""K-1"".,.,.but not in this case. You need a few visits, (is it safe there?) then file the CR-1, after you marry.

You are going to need a lot of very good evidence.,,.so start as soon as you can.

Good luck on your journey.,.,,you have a long one, but it is oh so worth it!

Go for it!

Wait, he suggested you MOVE there?

Just to throw in my two cents, meet first. Try for K-1 first. Two advantages: You don't have to go through some sort of crazy process to get divorced if it doesn't work out. Second, if you don't get approved, then you can always try the second route of marriage and spousal visa.

A third advantage you won't think of as an advantage (but is) is that if you two are denied a K-1 visa, you two have to spend more time working at the visa process. You will see how strong this relationship is.

If denied on spousal visa, then move to India. Don't - I repeat - DO NOT MOVE TO AFGHANISTAN!!!!!!!!!!
