Hi all,

I'm wondering if there are gonna be any issues when I cross over to the states (interview is in June for k-1 visa) I have a car with an Ontario plate that is in my name. Anyone have any issues bringing their cars across the border?

Or any advice to give on the steps I should be preparing ?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on the car but you need proof it complies with US safety and emmissions standards. You need to have either the proper stickers on the car or a compliance letter from the manufacturer.

I drive a Pontiac and it had only 1 of the required stickers. So I called GM and got my compliance letter for about $100. I had no issues at the POE.
