Packet 4 from Montreal Consulate (merged)

Hey guys!

I'm sure this question sounds kind of naive, but I was just wondering if there is somewhere I'm supposed to check online that will say when Packet 4 has been sent out from Montreal.

I just sent Packet 3 through the mail through ExpressPost and it arrived in Montreal on May 6th, now I highly doubt it would have been logged that day, I figured I should give it a week before really delving too deep, but I was also wondering if the consulate will email me back in confirmation they have received the electronic documents aside from the automated response you get right after you send it.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

What did you mail for Packet 3? I don't believe that's required for a K1.

After e-mailing packet 3, I got the immediate confirmation and then a packet 4 e-mail response 3 business days later (I never received an actual Packet 4 in the mail).

Yeah I head Montreal has a tendency to not actually send out physical copies of the documents lol

Also, I mailed off just the checklist that was signed. From what I understood that was the only document needed to be sent in the physical mail

Oh, yup, the packet 3 response is only the e-mail with the 3 attachments they ask for. If they have your case, you should get an e-mail reply from them shortly!

You will receive the packet 4 by email. Also, if you go to Medisys for the medical, the appointment letter is in that email. I was freaking out until the Monday before my appointement because I couldn't find the letter.

Do you know how long Medisys takes to process the medical?, I'm trying to figure out where I should go for mine.

I went on April 17 at 2:30 pm. It was crowded and I got out at 5 pm. Some people were able to do everything within an hour or so, it all depends on when you go in and if the are busy that day. They told me to call back the next Thursday to see if my envelope was ready for pick up. It was ready.

The IV fee is the immigrant visa fee. Are you a K1?if so, I paid mine before I scheduled my interview. It was 265$.

As for the pictures, it's same size as a passport picture. I find it easier to just do a passport picture. I was able to get a cd and print copies. I don't have the link for the instructions about picture because I am on my fiancé s phone right now. But you need a white background, it's the same rules as a passport photo.

If you go to medisys, they asked me 5 pictures.

Keep a note it's 2 US sized passport photos, not Canadian sized. 50mmx50mm
