Expedite I-130 Petition Approved! In 2.5 months!

So I called USCIS Friday May 1st and requested to expedite my petition and INDEED today they approved my request!!! I am so grateful and happy b/c God knows how much I need my husband to be here. USCIS told me it would take 5 business days and it took less. Next step is NVC, hopefully this process is as smooth as the one for USCIS. Good luck to all!!

12/25/2013 - Officially became a couple

10/27/2014 - Married :wub:
12/26/2014 - Wedding Ceremony
02/20/2015 - NOA1
05/05/2015- NOA2
05/11/2015- NVC Received, Request for 2nd expedite
05/18/2015- Case Number assigned
05/27/2015- NVC/Embassy approved expedite request
05/29/2015- Case sent to Embassy
06/05/2015- Medical
06/08/2015- Vac Appointment
06/18/2015- Interview (APPROVED!!)
06/30/2015- Visa Issued!!! :dancing: :joy:
07/06/2015- Visa in hand
07/08/2015- POE (Miami)
07/18/2015- SS received

Do you mind explaining what the reason was for expediting it that you gave? I'm trying to figure out if I may be able to expedite mine.

Thank you, I requested the expedite for medical reasons. Give it a try, you never know if they will approve you as well.

Dont be nervous...You may lose hair at this stage.....LOL....Because it drove me insane.....Because after the USCIS stage I thought it will be a smooth ride but NOPE is also a waiting game at NVC.....Just prepare yourself and apartment for when your hubby gets home.....Because that was exactly what I tried to do lol

Did you make this expedited request AFTER filing the petition or it was made when you filed the petition? What medical condition did you mention which made them to approve the request? Otherwise, its very hard to get approval on expedited request...

I made the request after I filed my petition. I have a very personal medical condition that requires for me to be admitted in the hospital quite often. Yes, i know it's hard, but with these things you never know <_<
