If you have an attorney, he should really be able to answer these questions for you.

It is likely the other docs are ok, but there have been cases where people get a second, unrelated RFE. Also remember that NVC just gives a first look over, the CO can still ask for more.different docs.

Is your spouse petitioning you? If you fill in your profile, and country, we can help you better as often, the correct answers will depend on the type of visa you are going for, and which country you will be interviewing in. If your spouse is petitioning you for a visa then yes, they are always primary sponsor and need to show proof of earnings and tax filings for the last three years. The fact that she has not done so could be why you got the RFE (and your attorney should know better than to submit a I-864 without supporting docs!)

The co-sponsor needs to submit the same documents as the main sponsor, plus proof of US citizenship or residency.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
