Hi everyone!

Last year me and my wife used VJ and filled in all my AOS paperwork and got my GC in January 2015. Very happy indeed. We wish the same for all of you.

I have a question; I remember that along the way one of the forms required a Referee who know me for 2 years to sign a part but I don't remember which form it was and also there is a list of accepted occupations by USCIS to act as Referee. Does anyone know what I am talking about? which form it was? etc...?

Thanks in advance & Good luck to all of you

I had to get a police certificate from the UK (because I had lived there for a while), and for this I needed my photograph signed by someone from an approved list of professions and his contact data. Fortunately, the list included "manager", so I could ask a colleague.

Hi D.Ba,

Spot on! yes now I remember where did I need that signature. I had lived in the UK too and it was for my police certificate from the UK. I searched all the AOS files couldn't see anything. The reason I need to know is that when the time comes for Naturalization I need to know if I need to get any forms signed by any referee or not and should I keep my specific contacts (Manager, Doctor, Nurse, banker, etc...) close just in case, but it seems that Naturalization doesn't required a Referee. I am not sure yet about the US passport forms. Thanks indeed :)
